Olympian clouds green and leaved
green and leaved
Our sun the orb
Consumed by them.
They stand,
Their strong feet, tall
In deep earth
Towering above
Making us feel small.
The wind whips with them
And howls through flexing biceps
Looking for all the world
as if they would strike us down
Pick and flick us away.
I have seen them fall,
I have heard they killed a man.
A city of creepy crawlies lives in them
Leaves grow from here, there, everywhere
Unruly shapes
Where we want space.
The towering demon must come down
Must not be left with his crow.
Let’s lift it off,
Lop him short
Tie and tether,
keep the rope taught.
We have him mastered now
His bowers tamed
His breath short
But take care
I see his children lurking there!
